!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but what about the post-Bangle 6? What about !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! looking resplendent in Vermillion Red Metallic; the same color as my 128i.
Does that make anyone like it more than the Bangle 6? What if I told you that this 650i came with the proper transmission.
I’m happy to see at least one person bought one with a stick.
So for 37k who needs a post-Bangle 6MT 650i?

I much prefer the Bangle 6. But then again the E65 and E85 are two of my favorite designs ever.

For some reason the F1x cars reminds me of mid 2000s Volvos.
Not that I hate them... it was a 528xi that surprised me with the N20 and gave me an acceptable ZF 8HP.

And I think I hit Kinja jackpot here. I wanted to comment on this post, somehow your E63 article loaded instead and I end up commenting there.

Not too sure, I believe there were some oil consumption issues at least.

I had a 528i as a loaner once, actually liked it.

In July last year, I had the option to buy a 6 speed 6 series in Dallas, TX.
220 miles away, I drove over on the weekend with an appointment to test drive the thing. It was marvelous. Since I already had the 7 series, the 6 just seemed similar set-up with a slightly “sporty” feeling. The dealer didn’t want to budge on price. It’s funny, a long term friend who happens to work at the then biggest (sales) Chevrolet dealer called while I was at the BMW dealer playing the salesman-manager-price-game. He was gonna let me know about son-of-a-gun-gray (my favorite color) 6 speed SS that had been delivered and I ended up test driving (and buying) that the same day.
The BMW would have been unique.

paint color is nice but the only good looking 6 series was the E24

I prefer the whole rear of the 2010 more. It has more character, but the front is the 2012 is much more handsome. I’ve never liked those late 2000, grilles. That weird flat piece that cuts off the top of the grille looks so odd. The pre LCI e90 has them as well, and they are the main reason I’m very happy I got an LCI.
Also the wheels on the 2012 are awesome.

I’d want a different seat color, but other than that it’s pretty darn perfect.

Give me a white M6 GC and I will show you a very happy man with a beautiful car.

That quite attractive. Maybe some exhaust work and a tune to get it well over 400hp and It’d be really nice.

That is one hell of a weird spec.
Want it.

The Bangle over the current version definitely. But neither car is particularly attractive. They look like BMWs with some kind of weight problem. Their Mercedes competitors are also huge, but the Mercedes seem to wear it better.

As a mechanic I love the Bangle-era E63... not because of its looks (ugly) or its performance (lackluster aside from the M6), but because they just keep breaking. That N62 V8 leaks everywhere, the valve stem seals die before 100k miles, and the 6HP transmission fails at an astonishing rate. Makes for a good time for me, haha.

I like both reds, just not together.

I think I would spend my money on an LSD first, before I did the exhaust.

I agree. The exterior would look better with something like a tan or a camel and the interior would look better with a white or a blue or something.

Yeah, not a fan of the pre-LCI E90. The LCI-E63 at least looks alright, the E90 just doesn’t.
Really like the wheels on the 2012.

I am surprised to learn it doesn’t come one. That should be standard on any high power RWD car.

You might like DriventoWrite.com. They’ve convinced me that all these Van Hooydonk cars are essentially sad (exception: i3), they define retrenchment.Of course, one man’s revolution cannot last forever I suppose. Bangle’s masterpiece, in my opinion, was probably the E82. Even with that bumper, it looks good.
Have you seen what he’s doing lately?

Unless you get a full on M car, one with a WBS VIN, you don’t get an LSD.

I like both the red on the exterior and the interior, just not together. The exterior would look better with some tan or camel on the inside and the interior would look better with a white or blue on the outside.

That makes sense especially because that exterior Red is more subtle, but the interior red is bright.
